Throughout the year, KIMEP University organizes Industry Career Days, a series of specialized career fairs tailored to specific industries. These events serve as a bridge between students and partner organizations, offering valuable insights into the job market, industry trends, and career development opportunities. Career Day provides students with direct access to potential employers, allowing them to explore internships and job prospects while engaging with industry professionals.
The event features company booths where students can interact with representatives, ask questions about career paths, and gain a deeper understanding of the professional landscape. In addition to networking opportunities, Career Day includes thematic workshops led by industry experts, aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge of professional growth, workplace expectations, and skill development.
On January 31, KIMEP hosted an event dedicated to the media sector, featuring top media and marketing agencies. The main goal of this event was to provide students from marketing, journalism, and management programs with industry insights, facilitate networking with company representatives, and inform them about available internship and employment opportunities.

“Participating organizations gain visibility while identifying talented, motivated students ready to begin their careers,” said Elmira Kabiyeva, Career & Employment Services Coordinator at KIMEP. She also highlighted the university’s flagship career event: “Every year, on the first Friday of April, we host the Big Job Fair, a large-scale career fair that marks the end of the spring semester. Around 50 organizations and companies from various sectors participate, offering students across different faculties a unique opportunity to connect with potential employers, explore career prospects, and secure internships or job opportunities.”
For companies, Career Day is an excellent platform to engage with students and introduce them to the industry. Organizations can promote their brand, share their values, and communicate expectations for young professionals entering the workforce. This event also fosters partnerships between universities and businesses, strengthening connections that benefit both students and employers.

“We would like more students to learn about our company and join our team. In every department, we highly value a strong desire for growth and punctuality,” said Aruzhan Abdugaliyeva, a representative of WE Project, a popular media magazine in Central Asia.
Students attending Career Day benefit in multiple ways. They can explore job and internship opportunities, gain industry insights, develop essential skills through workshops, and expand their professional network. The event also allows them to assess various career paths and better understand what employers seek in candidates.
“The Career Day at KIMEP provides a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the marketing industry. Personally, that’s exactly why I came here,” said Rustem Omarov, a KIMEP student.

“I’m in my final year, and Career Day is a great chance to explore internship opportunities, discover creative companies in Almaty, and see how organizations present themselves. I was most impressed by Citix,” shared Bota Izimgaliyeva.
Overall, Career Day at KIMEP serves as an essential platform for both students and organizations, fostering meaningful connections, professional growth, and career development. By bringing together industry leaders and aspiring professionals, the event plays a crucial role in preparing students for their future careers while helping companies discover promising talent.
