Kazakhstan won seven medals, including one gold in Judo, three silver medals in Artistic Gymnastics, Boxing, and Wrestling, and three bronze medals in Boxing, Judo, and Shooting. Kazakhstan ranked 42nd in the medal standings among the 206 countries and territories that competed in the Paris Olympics.

Yeldos Smetov, 31, won the gold medal in Judo in the up to 60 kg weight category at his third Olympic Games, becoming Kazakhstan’s first Olympic champion in Judo. Previously, he earned a silver medal in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, 2016 Olympics, and a bronze medal in Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

Smetov dedicated his victory to his family and the «Zhenis» Judo Club in Karagandy.

Nariman Kurbanov, 26, made history winning a silver medal in the pommel horse final, Kazakhstan’s first Olympic medal in artistic gymnastics.

Demeu Zhadrayev, 34, won the silver medal in the Greco-Roman wrestling (up to 77 kg weight category), while Nurbek Oralbay, 24, earned the silver medal in boxing in the up to 80 kg weight class.

Gusman Kyrgyzbayev, 31, took the bronze medal in Judo in the up to 66 kg weight class, and Nazym Kyzaibay, 30, won the bronze medal in boxing in the up to 50 kg weight class.

Islam Satpayev, 25, and Aleksandra Le, 20, claimed Kazakhstan’s first shooting medal since 1996, winning the bronze medal in the mixed team air rifle event.

At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Central Asian countries collectively brought home a total of 29 medals. Uzbekistan emerged as the standout performer with 13 medals, dominating the region with eight gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals. Kyrgyzstan secured six medals, winning two silver and four bronze medals across various events. Tajikistan rounded out the Central Asian medal count with three bronze medals.
