Red Bull Soapbox Race Comes to Almaty

Get ready for the 2024 Red Bull Soapbox Race in Almaty. Complete with celebrity judges, and 70 competiting teams (230 teams applied to be a part of the race). Entrance to view the race is free.

The race begins at noon at the Atakent Exhibition Center, Timiryazev St 42 (near the Botanical Garden) at Pavillion 9. Competitors will vie to win a trip to Abu Dahbi, UAE, to see the Formula 1 Race.

This year’s judges include well-known bloggers and experts:

• Mimi Ilnitskaya (Maria Ilnitskaya) – an art artist,
• Kapasov Duman – representative of the popular media portal zakon.kz,
• Olzhas Nurbay – director,
• Maxim Yakimenko – tech blogger,
• Darkhan Isaakov – auto blogger,

  Kazakh director Aisultan Seitov.
