Ice show «1001 Nights» with Alexey Yagudin and Evgenia Medvedeva unforgettable magic on ice!
On February 22, 2025 Almaty Arena will host an exciting theatrical and circus show «1001 Nights» with two performances: at 12:00 and 16:00. Olympic champion Alexey Yagudin and multiple European champion Evgenia Medvedeva will delight the audience on the ice. The story is based on the world-famous fairy tales of the inimitable storyteller Shaherazade.
The mastery of ice genre artists, the power of speed and energy of ice skating, uniquely combining ethnic and modern motifs of oriental music and Oriental sensual choreography, will recreate for the audience more than 1000 years of history, combining cold ice and hot oriental passions, and thematic scenery and large-scale video installations will completely transport the audience to the era of the Ancient East. Luxurious costumes and oriental dances will be a true feast for the eyes and soul of the audience.
In each fairy tale the artists of circus genres on ice will show their skills: ice acrobats performing the most complicated parallel somersaults and flips on ice, aerial acrobats flying on canvases right above the ice arena, fire jugglers, hula-hoops, magicians, and of course the masters of one of the most beautiful sports and art of figure skating will create an atmosphere of oriental grace and magical attraction, leaving not a single spectator bored throughout the viewing of the marvellous tales of Shaherizada.
